The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has carried out major raids in connection with ongoing investigations into the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) gold trading scheme, which allegedly resulted in a US$94 million loss to the state.
The operation focused on the Trassaco mansion of Nana Yaw Duodu, widely known as Dr. Sledge, and the East Legon premises of Goldridge Company Limited. Acting on a High Court warrant, OSP officials confiscated luxury cars, jewellery, firearms, and documents linked to landed properties.
Dr. Sledge is under investigation for suspected corruption and related offences associated with the MIIF gold transaction. The OSP confirmed the raid in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on October 29, 2025, noting that the investigation is still ongoing.
